What is the relation between surface area of sphere and lateral surface area of a right circular cylinder that just encloses the sphere

Total surface area of sphere = Lateral surface of cylinder enclosing sphere

◆ Explaination -

Surface area of sphere of radius r is -

TSAs = 4πr²

Lateral surface area of cylinder enclosing sphere is -

LSAc = 2πr × 2r

LSAc = 4πr²

Therefore, we can say that total surface area of sphere is equal to lateral surface of cylinder enclosing it.
