what is the relation between Temperature and atmospheric pressure..does the melting/boiling point of an solid/liquid depend on the atmospheric pressure

Temperature is directly proportional to atmospheric pressure. As temperature rises it brings the molecules closer and increases the pressure as same the atmospheric pressure directly proportional to boiling and melting point of solid and liquid.
