Answer:

A Customer is the the person or organisation who buys the product or service, a Consumer is the person or organisation who uses the product or service. This can be the same person or organisation, but often it is not. For example, a mother buying toys for her children is the customer, her children are the consumers. But when they go to the shop themselves and pay with their own pocket money, they are both customers and consumers at the same time. But in the literature and textbooks, these two terms are not well distinguished.
