In a proportional relationship, the lines change by applying the proportional factor being used. Slope is the rate of change and it will remain the same.

The relationship between x-axis and y-axis of any graph is a proportional Relationship which is defined by slope i.e. calculating the rate of change of the plotted line.

1) Here proportional change and rate of change are algebraic quantities which specifies how one quantity changes with respect to another.

2) Line and Slope are geometric quantities which describes the graph of any equation.
