Let x = 0.04 ----( 1 )

y = 0.004 ----( 2 )

Multiply equation ( 2 ) with 10

10y = 10× 0.004

10y = 0.04

10y = x [ from ( 1 ) ]

x = 10y

Therefore ,

x is 10 times of y.

0.04 is 10 times of 0.004.
