Combination reaction is that reaction in which two or more reactants combine together to form a new single product/compound.
for e.g.,
N2 + O2 gives out 2NO (Nitric oxide)
Decomposition reaction is that reaction in which a single compound/reactant decomposes to form two or more compounds/products.
for e.g.,
CaCO3(s) gives out CaO + CO2
(Quick lime)
The relation between them is that both these rearions are just opposite to each other.

N2 + O2 gives out 2NO (Nitric oxide)

Combination reaction is the reaction in which two or more reactants participate to form a single substance.
Ex.H2 + Cl2 '----- 2HCL
Decomposition reaction is the reaction in which one single substance decomposes to form two or more substance.
Ex. H2O-----H2 + O2
