This relation is given to us by Newton’s Second Law of Motion.

From this law, we find that the rate of change of momentum of an object is directly proportional to the force applied.

This gives us the nifty expression

F = ma

Where

F is the applied force,

m is the mass of the object t on which the force is being applied, and

a is the acceleration caused by this force.

Hence ,

m =  \frac{F}{a}
