what is the relationship between wants and resources

Wants is a pretty broad topic. Perhaps needs is a better qualifier. Our planet has much of its resources going to waste, in the trash. Look at all the plastic in the oceans. Look at food that is prepared and never consumed and starving people in difficult to access locations. Many of the first world nations have more than they need to survive and consume a greater portion of the world’s resources, however, they also produce most of the worlds products with those resources. As countries develop, the population wants consumer goods and more high protein food, mostly beef. Please segue to the book or movie, COWPOCALYPSE. Good luck to us all.
