Relative velocity of A with respect to B is given by

Vab = Va - Vb

Here, A moves in positive direction and B moves in negative direction and magnitude of both is same.

Thus, Va = +V and Vb = -V

Vab = Va - Vb = [V-(-V)] = 2V
