What is the remainder when (2x^+3x+7) is divided by (x-2)

Answer:

x-2= 0

x = 2

2x^2 +3x +7

2(2)^2 + 3(2) +7

8+6+7 = 21

so , 21 is remainder.

let p(x) = 2x^2 +3x+7

and g(x) = x-2

By the remainder theorem if p(x) is divided by g (x) then the remainder is

p(2) = 2(2)^2+3(2)+7

= 8+13=21
