An ammeter is a low resistance device, therefore an ideal ammeter's resistance should be 0.
Given,
I = 0.5A = 5/10 A
R = 10 ohm
t = 1/2 hr = 1800 s
E = ? = I2Rt
(5/10) whole squared * 10 * 1800
25/100 X 10 X 1800
25 * 180
4500 J

This can also be expressed as 4.5 X 10 raised to the power 3 Joules.
Hope this  helps.
