When pea plants having purple and white colour are cross bred then the resulting F1 progeny will have violet colored flowers.
Reason : The violet colour is a dominant trait and thus in F1 progeny dominates the white colour trait i.e a recessive trait and under its dominance it is not able to express itself and thus remains hidden but is inherited that we can see in F2 generation where it gets expressed in its homogeneous form.
VV(violet) × vv (white)
Vv,Vv,Vv,and Vv are resulting progenies in F1 generation.
So only violet colored plants gets expressed as there is no homogeneous form.
