Required Answer:-

This is pretty simple by just looking at the elements listed above and their position in the periodic table. Just remember these two points:

  • Metallic properties decreases when we move left to right in the periodic table.
  • Metallic properties increases when we move top to bottom in the periodic table.

That means,

K is the most metallic element if we compare both the criterias. 2nd most metallic element will be Mg. Since B and Al are in the same group, we can compare them according to second criteria. Al will more metallic among them.

Hence, K > Mg > Al > B (a)

Required Answer :-

The correct option is a) K > Mg > Al > B

If you will see from down then first come K. Then looking upward there are two elements. See from the left we get Mg. After Mg after two boxes is Al. Now, Looking to the upward line we have B

Therefore

Correct sequence = K > Mg > Al > B

Which is option A.

Know More :-

B is the symbol of Boron

K is the symbol of Potassium
