ROLE OF ALEXANDER GRAHAM BELL IN HELEN KELLER'S LIFE
When Helen met Dr. Alexander Graham Bell, she felt his sympathy and tenderness and sat on his knee. He understood her signs and her desperation for communication. On Dr. Bell's suggestion, Helen's father wrote to Mr. Anagnos, Director of Perkins Institute in Boston, to send a competent teacher for Helen's education.
It's was Dr. Bell because of whom, Helen met Miss Sullivan whose arrival changed her life completely. Her meeting with Dr. Bell proved to be so eventful that it opened th doors of hope and light, where there was total darkness.
