Diaphragm helps in breathing process.
Explanation:
- Diaphragm is a type of skeletal muscle which makes the end or base of the chest.
- At the time of inhalation, the diaphragm contracts and becomes flat. Due to this activity, there grows more space in the lungs to take in the air.
- At the time of exhalation, the diaphragm relaxes and moves up, due to which air is pushed from the lungs to the mouth.
- By this effect, diaphragm helps in the breathing process.
