Hi!!

Afferent artiriole is more broader than efferent arteriole . Blood flows renal artery to glomerulus through afferent arteriole. This influence of pressure due to the narrowness of afferent arteriole . As a result it under goes pressure filtration or ultra filtration.

Efferent arteriole is forms like a long peritubular capillaries which surrounds the PCT ( proximal convoluted tuble ) and DCT ( distal convoluted tuble) . Here reabsorbtion takes placi but not in afferent arteriole.

Afferent arteriole gives only oxygenatedblood which is loaded with waste marterials. But efferent arteriolr send deoxygenated blood to renal vien .

Hence , afferent and afferent arteriole has a major differences.

Answer:

The afferent and efferent arterioles constrict in response to α-adrenergic stimulation. This vasoconstriction predominantly affects the afferent arteriole, effectively reducing hydrostatic pressure within the glomerular capillary lumen and decreasing glomerular filtration.
