what is the role of forests in maintaining water cycle .

1.Trees absorb water through their roots. they use the water for preparing food. in this way some water is stored inside the food which when consumed goes to the body of animals,  then the animals excrete it in the form of sweat and urine. the water evaporates and then goes to the sky to rain as rainwater.
2. trees evaporate excess water through transpiration which goes to the sky to rain in as rainwater.
In this way they maintain the water cycle.
