The fuse wire is a device which is connected to the live wire in the circuit so as to protect the devices connected to it if there is any overflow of current. They have a specific rating according to which they are connected.Suppose if the fuse wire has a rating of 5A then, if a current more than 5A flows through it , it Will melt and the connection will break and hence, the device connected to it is protected.

It is a safety device when excess of current flows through it opens and breaks and it saves our appliances
