what is the role of HCL,pepsin and mucus released by gastric gland

Hey mate..

Hcl helps in breaking bonds of amino acids and the process is known as proteolysis.

Pepsin too break down proteins into smaller peptides.

Mucus protect the inner wall of stomach from acids and enzymes.
