the heart has different chamber to prevent the oxygen rich blood from mixing with the blood containing carbon dioxide

the carbon dioxide rich blood has to reach the lungs for the carbon dioxide to be removed and oxygenated blood from the lungs has to be brought back to the heart this oxygen rich blood is then pumped to the rest of the body

Heart have four chambers.

They also separated by muscular walls.

Hence, it avoid mixing of oxygen reach blood with deoxygentaed blood in heart.

We know that humans are warm blooded animals, hence, they need oxygen to maintain body temperature.

Thus, blood get mixed with deoxygentaed blood in heart. It will not give energy to body to maintain temperature.
