Answer:

In frogs and insects hormones play an important role in metamorphosis. The hormone thyroxine is helpful in metamorphosis of frog i.e conversion of tadpole to frog. The ecdysone and Juvenile hormone (JH) helps in metamorphosis of insects i.e conversion of pupa to adult form

Explanation:

It is due to the Thyroxin hormone in the frog and the Insect hormones in the Insects that they are able to transform from a completely undeveloped organism , which do not resemble any of its parents , to a completely developed organism that represents its parent . In the absence of these hormones they will never be able to transform into an adults and will remain undeveloped ,thus , not being able to complete its life cycle . For example, if a tadpole does not get proper iodine from the water and the Thyroxin hormones are not produced , it can never convert into an adult frog and continue its life cycle . Thus, we can say that the role of hormone is to bring about metamorphic changes that will help these organism resemble its parents.
