what is the role of immune system when a pathogen attacks a healthy body

the immune system produces special cells or immune cells which destroys the pathogen that attacks our body. if immune cells manage to kill off the disease causing microbe, then our body is safe from the disease.

When any pathogen or foreign agent enter the body,the immune system produces T cells or lymphocytes that destroys the pathogen and prevents the body from diseases.
