It is the coloured part of the eye and is involved mainly in controling the suze of the pupil.the iris increases or decreases the size of the pupil to regulate the amount light that enters through the pupil

the iris is a muscular structure which adjusts the size of the pupil. Adjustments are made depending on light intensity
