Janus Green B is a basic dye and vital stainused in histology. It is also used to stain mitochondria supravitally, as was introduced by Leonor Michaelis in 1900.[2]

Janus Green B[1]
The indicator Janus Green B changes colour according to the amount of oxygen present.[3] When oxygen is present, the indicator oxidizes to a blue colour. In the absence of oxygen, the indicator is reduced and changes to a pink colour.

Hope it helps...

Anaerobic Respiration

Explanation:

  • Anaerobic respiration is the way toward delivering cell energy without oxygen
  • Anaerobic breath is a moderately quick response and produces 2 ATP, which is far less than anaerobic respiration
  • There are two primary sorts of anaerobic respiration, alcoholic fermentation, and lactic fermentation
  • A few prokaryotes microorganisms and archaea that live in low-oxygen situations depend on the anaerobic breath to separate energizes. For instance, some archaea called methanogens can utilize carbon dioxide as a terminal electron acceptor, creating methane as a side-effect
