KOH ( Pottasium hydroxide) is that substance that absorbs Carbon dioxide from the environment.
so when the KOH is nt kept in a Bell jar while performing an activity to show that carbon dioxide is essential for photosynthesis.
You will find that the amount of starch present in plants leave will same. Therefore the test of starch will be positive.
I hope this helps u.
