The process of photosynthesis occurs when green plants use the energy of light to convert carbon dioxide (CO2) and water (H2O) into carbohydrates. Light energy is absorbed by chlorophyll, a photosynthetic pigment of the plant, while air containing carbon dioxide and oxygen enters the plant through the leaf stomata.

\implies Take to plants and place them in to pots and name it as "plant A" and "plant B". Then place plant A in a room which has the ability to enter light in it.And place plant B in a dark room which na light can enter in it.Now keep that 2 plants for 2-4 days. Now take it outside and look at plant A and plant B. Plant A is much healthier But plant B is weaker than A because plant B was not able to make food in the absence of light. So, Light is needed for plants to survive.
