Now the present world scenario is in steady pace .Uni-polar is slowly shifting to the multi-polar world and eager to look into the matter of global economic issues ,power starting emerging in Asia to i.e China,japan and India
The objective of NAM are
1.Preservation of the world peace
2. Cheak on big power ambitions
3.Preservation of territorial integrity and Sovereignty
4.Platform of 3rd world Nations
5.Promoting equitable world order
All the organisation formulated after the wars United nations, OPEC or EU .In todays scenario , we have international law to maintain order in the world and hence may be we don't need grouping like NAM but having said that we should also consider the Stand of the developing economies of the world .
NAM a non -aligned system can play a big role in controlling and changing the present international environment. Moreover, NAM is providing india with an untapped advantage to emerge as a world leader especially in the South- east Asia and developing countries. With the passage of time ,NAM emerged as a political personality of its own moreover it survived the cold war and contributed in the peace all over the world and stopped the full fledged war.India should play a major role in reforming the working of NAM so that it can also act as an instrument of change giving voice to the least and under developing states and the developing economies of the world .
Today world needs NAM 2.0 for progressive world and peaceful co-existence in geopolitical world , Russia and USA again coming against each other day by day in Syria and recently both superpowers dissolved the diplomatic ties with each other whereas China is going toward Russia day by day and recently in the trade war with USA ,again india is in the condition to accept the leadership of NAM 2.0 because of its good relations with Russia and USA .
