The role of ozone layer in the atmosphere :-

❥ The stratospheric ozone layer absorbs ultraviolet radiation , preventing dangerous UV rays from hitting Earth's surface and harming living organisms .

❥ UV radiation plays a small role in global warming because its quantity is not enough to cause the excess heat trapped in the atmosphere .

How is ozone layer formed ?

❥ It is formed by heat and sunlight which cause chemical reactions between oxides of nitrogen and Volatile Organic Compounds .
