Answer:

The role of the philosophers in French revolution was to create awareness through their philosophy .For example John Locke by Two treaties of government in this book he wrote against the doctrine of divine and absolute right of monarch and Montesquieu wrote The Spirit Of Law in which he wrote about division of power between legislature, executive and judiciary. They use to spread their ideas based on welfare of French Society. These ideas spread through books and newspaper, these were read loudly in groups for benefit of the illiterates.
