Prolactin is a hormone secreted by the pituitary glands in the males as well as females which in coordination with other hormones initiates the secretion of milk from the mammary glands. In males, it does not affect much if present in low quantity. Although high levels of prolactin decreases the ability of males to produce testosterone which results in the problems caused by low levels of testosterone.
In males, oxytocin is a hormone released within the brain, testis and few other tissues. Oxytocin plays a major role in sexual reproduction by stimulating contractions of the male reproductive tract resulting in ejaculation. It also stimulates the contractility of seminiferous tubules, epidydimus and the prostate gland.
