Pulses are leguminous plants that have rhizomes that converts atmospheric nitrogen into nitrates that plants can absorb thus acting like a fertilizer.

Pulses are Leguminous Plants. Roots of Leguminous Plants have Rhizobium which helps in getting of Nitrogen.............
