ROLE OF CARTILAGENOUS RINGS IN HUMAN TRACHEA IS THAT WHENEVER THERE IS NO AIR IN THE TRACHEA THE WALL OF TRACHEA DO NOT COLLAPSE.

HOPE IT HELPS.

PLEASE MARK AS BRAINLIEST

Digamveer: CARTLAGENOUS RINGS ARE PRESENT ONLY IN TRACHEA BECAUSE TRACHEA IS THE LONGEST PART OF RESPIRATORY PATHWAY, OTHER PARTS ARE TWO SHORT TO BE COVERED BY A SKELETON
smayandinho: well hey can we tell that the trachea to prevent from getting choked
Digamveer: NO CHOKING IS SOMETHING ELSE. CHOKING IS WHEN SOME MATERIAL HAS BEEN FIXED IN YOUR PATHWAY
Digamveer: BUT HERE THESE RINGS PREVENT TRACHEA FROM COLLAPSING
smayandinho: OK thanks you
Digamveer: I WILL GIVE YOU AN EXAMPLE
Digamveer: WHENEVER YOU CREATE A VACCUUM THAT VACCUUM TRIES TO COLLAPSE THE WALLS OF THE CONTAINER. SAME THING IS HAPPENING HERE.
smayandinho: thnx
Digamveer: WLCM
smayandinho: hlo

the RINGS OF CARTILAGE prevents the trachea from collapsing when there is not much air in it  by internally supporting the trachea .

hope it helps :)
