Saliva

saliva present in the syllabary gland of mouth contain a special enzyme known as salivary amylase the role of salivary amylase is to convert the carbohydrate into the simpler form which can be used by body such as glucose and maltose.

The Other function of salivary amylase is to provide moisture to mouth so that the other organs such as tongue do not get dry.

it also makes the food moisturized so that the food can easily go in the alimentary canal.
