ANSWER:-

Role of stomata:

Stomata are very important structure of plants and supports their various life processes:

(1).Gaseous exchange take place through stomata:

CO2 is taken during the process of photosynthesis and O2 is released out. During respiration O2 is taken and CO2 is given out.

(2). Transpiration:

Bulk of transpiration takes place through stomata.

Significance of transpirtation:

  • Transpiration creates a suction pressure transpiration pull in the leaves. It is responsible for the ascent of sap in plants.
  • Transpiration also helps in absorption of water and dissolved minerals due to transpirtation pull.
  • During transpiration heat of vaporization is taken from the leaves. Therefore, it causes a cooling effect or maintains the normal temperature of the plants.
  • As it causes reduction in temperature it prevents the photo oxidation of chlorophyll.
  • Transpiration facilitates water cycle in nature.

Hope it helps ☺️

Answer:

Hii dear

Explanation:

Taking in Oxygen is very important because it allows your cells to do things, like make energy from the food you eat .Plants 'breathe' too,but they do it through tiny openings in leaves called stomata.Stomata opens and close to allow the intake of carbon dioxide and release of oxygen.
