Here lenticels are lens like pores that allow exchange of gases between plants and atmosphere

As we know it is the function of stomata present in plants is to exchange gases for necessary functions. But lenticels are present in hard and woody stems and roots instead of stomata. Respiration takes through the method of diffusion in lenticels.

hope it helps u
