We know that \textbf{Transpiration} is actually lost of 90% of absorbed water in the form of water vapour fron different aerial parts of plants.

It helps the plants in the following ways :

1. It provides cooling effect.

This cooling effect is due to released water vapour in atmosphere.

2. It helps Xylem to conduct water upwards.

The loss of water by plants through leaves creates a suction which pulls water from xylem cells of roots, due to pressure difference.
