Villi are small finger like structures in the small intestine.

Role of villi

➡️They help to absorb disgested food.

➡️Each villus had microvilli which help to increase the surface area of intestinal walls.[A larger surface area helps to allow nutrients to be taken in more]

➡️Within these villi, present numerous blood vessels which observe the digested food and carry into the bloodstream .

➡️Villi are small finger like outgrowth present that help in the process of absorption these are located in the inner walls of the small intestine .
