Photosynthesis is the process of making food for plants for growing up and for their lives. They use Carbondioxide, Water, Carbohydrates, Sunlight, Minerals, Light Energy. They make their own food that's why they are known as Autotrophes.

There is also a equation for photosynthesis:-

Carbondioxide + Water Sunlight

Carbohydrates + Oxygen Chlorophyll

During the process, oxygen is released. The presence of Starch in leaves indicates the occurrence of photosynthesis. Starch is also a carbohydrate.
