Wildlife Conservation is the practice of protecting wild plant and animal species and their habitats. The goal of wildlife conservation is to ensure that nature will be around for future generations to enjoy and also to recognize the importance of wildlife and wilderness for humans and other species alike. Many nations have government agencies and NGO's dedicated to wildlife conservation, which help to implement policies designed to protect wildlife. Numerous independent non-profit organizations also promote various wildlife conservation causes. According to the National Wildlife Federation, wildlife in the United States gets a majority of their funding through appropriations from the federal budget, annual federal and state grants, and financial efforts from programs such as the Conservation Reserve Program, Wetlands Reserve Program and Wildlife Habitat Incentives Program. Furthermore, a substantial amount of funding comes from the state through the sale of hunting/fishing licenses, game tags, stamps, and excise taxes from the purchase of hunting equipment and ammunition, which collects around $200 million annually. Wildlife conservation has become an increasingly important practice due to the negative effects of human activity on wildlife. An endangered species is defined as a population of a living species that is in the danger of becoming extinct because of several reasons. They are threatened by the varying environmental or prepositional parameters.

Answer:

Importance of Natural Vegetation and Wildlife

Wildlife refers to the living creatures like birds, fish and animals which are not domesticated by human beings. They may live in forests, deserts, water or snow. Wildlife conservation is necessary to prevent the decreasing population of wildlife and their subsequent extinction which will be catastrophic to life on Earth.

All plants and animals have important roles in the ecosystem. All living organisms play a role in the ecosystem and enable life to exist on Earth. Mankind, animals, birds, plants and microorganisms in the ecosystem co-exist and balance each other.

The system that exists in Nature is designed for all the different species of the world, where each has a role to play without disturbing the others and without upsetting the ecological balance off.

Animals and insects help us to reduce negative impacts on the globe and help us address issues such as global warming, pollution, environmental disturbances, etc. All living beings from the smallest microbes to the largest fish or animal are dependent on each other.

Animals inhale oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide. This carbon dioxide is used by plants to manufacture food in the presence of sunlight. The plants then release oxygen which is vital for survival of all living creatures including mankind.

If the population of animals are reduced, the natural food chain will be disrupted. The delicate balance of nature will be broken. So it is necessary to save animals in order to save plant life and human life.

Because of deforestation animals are losing their habitats and foods to survive. Overfishing and pollution of water are decreasing the population of fish and seabirds. Many animals which were common a few decades are becoming endangered species, on the verge of extinction. Hundreds of animal species had become extinct during our own lifetime.

Let us stop hunting. Let us stop felling trees. Let us plant more trees. Let us protect our forests for animals to live in and allow the endangered species to propagate. We need to protect the habitats of animals and when necessary create wildlife sanctuaries. People should stop buying products made with skins, horns, etc. of animals. A decrease in demand will reduce poaching.

Our world is dying slowly from enrironmental pollution. We cannot save the world without saving both plants and animals. Plants and animals must first be protected to save the world. We must not forget that this world is designed by Nature for human beings, plants and animals to live together.
