Micro organisms like rhizome play an important role in agriculture during nitrogen fixation.
They help in nitrogen assimilation by converting nitrogen into usable organic compounds.
They help in ammonification by acting on the dead matter.
Dead organisms are converted into nitrates by them during nitrification.
The nitrates that aren't utilized by plants are denitrified by them.
