One of the main roles of the NSS related to disaster management is to help with the rebuilding after these disasters occurred.
There is a chain of commands that help facilitate the relief efforts as well.
NSS includes first aid and casualty carrying methods but is not taught at most of the cases or situations.
To work in a disaster, one needs to be strong-minded, mentally strong.
Somehow, most of the NSS cadets lack it. But still many of them will help and work in case of disaster.
