Rule of Multiplication in Integers

Rule 1 : The product of two positive integers is always Positive

Examples : 6 × 3 = 18 , 8 × 4 = 32

Rule 2 : The product of two negative integers is always positive

Examples : (- 6) × (- 3) = 18 , (- 4) × (- 2) = 8

Rule 3 : The product of a positive integer and a negative integer is always negative

Examples : (- 6) × 4 = - 24 , 5 × (- 2) = - 10

Rule 4 : The product of any integer with zero is zero

Examples : (- 7) × 0 = 0 , 5 × 0 = 0 , 0 × 0 = 0
