The units of momentum are the product of units of mass and velocity. In SI units if the mass is in kilograms and the velocity is in meter per second then the velocity then the momentum is in kilogram/ meter per second. 1NS=KG M/S

SI Unit of Momentum

The ‘SI unit of momentum’ is kilogram meter per second. The units of momentum is the ‘product of mass and velocity’. The ‘SI unit of mass’ is kilogram and the ‘SI unit of velocity’ is meter per second. Momentum is a vector quantity. Momentum implies linear momentum.

Momentum can also be ‘angular momentum’. It takes place when an object is in ‘uniform circular motion’. Momentum is given in the ‘Newton's second law of motion’.
