It was strict and conservative and didn't believe in keeping students loose

Explanation:

  • Dead Poets Society was a film released in 1989
  • An English teacher, John Keating was introduced to all the boys
  • The teacher was famously known for using his traditional and strict methods of teaching
  • He and the headmaster of the school were very strict towards all the children

O' captain, My captain :)

Dead Poets' Society is one of my favourite dramas of all times!

Ofc I won't go into details...now coming to your question-

The film is set in 1959 at the fictional elite conservative and Vermont boarding school - Welton Academy. The school is very strict and orthodox, with all the professors teaching with the intent of adhering to traditional Welton rules.

Carpe diem! (hope ya get the reference)

Cheerio ;)
