The scientific principle behind the aeroplane is as follows:

  • You may have travelled in an aeroplane. If not, you may have a slight understanding of how aeroplanes work. But, have you wondered how the aeroplane was invented and we can get these giant machines to fly?
  • By applying Newton's third law of motion, we find out that the motion of the wings of the aeroplane moving through the air creates enough lift for it to fly.
  • It all depends on Bernoulli's Principle. The principle states that, " Inside a fluid, velocity is inversely proportional to pressure."
  • Aeroplanes use this very theory to fly. The wing foil is designed in such a way that the lower edge of the wing has low velocity air flow while the upper edge has a high velocity air flow.
  • The wing separates two different pressures. Air from the lower edge pushed the wing up inorder to reach upper edge.
