Explanation:

Cosmology deals with the world as the totality of space, time and all phenomena. Historically, it has had quite a broad scope, and in many cases was founded in religion. In modern use metaphysical cosmology addresses questions about the Universe which are beyond the scope of science. The term cosmology was first used in English in 1656 in Thomas Blount's Glossographia,[3] and in 1731 taken up in Latin by German philosopher Christian Wolff, in Cosmologia Generalis.[4]

Religious or mythological cosmology is a body of beliefs based on mythological, religious, and esoteric literature and traditions of creation myths and eschatology.Physical cosmology is studied by scientists, such as astronomers and physicists, as well as philosophers, such as metaphysicians, philosophers of physics, and philosophers of space and time. Because of this shared scope with philosophy, theories in physical cosmology may include both scientific and non-scientific propositions, and may depend upon assumptions that cannot be tested. Cosmology differs from astronomy in that the former is concerned with the Universe as a whole while the latter deals with individual celestial objects. Modern physical cosmology is dominated by the Big Bang theory, which attempts to bring together observational astronomy and particle physics;[5][6] more specifically, a standard parameterization of the Big Bang with dark matter and dark energy, known as the Lambda-CDM model.

Well there is always a huge scope if you are pursuing your field of interest.Talking about cosmology, the one thing that fascinates aspirants is that it has much less competition than engineering and medical(until you are not aiming for NASA).However ,if you want a huge sum of money, you might be disappointed(again NASA is an exception). Also, this field is time consuming as you are expected to complete your masters in cosmology and go for Ph.D. .So there are few cons as well.

Here are a few career in cosmology awaiting for you…

1.Planetary Scientist-These people are the luckiest and happiest guys because they enjoy observing stars, constellations, planets, moons, rotation and revolution of different planets etc.Scientist having a Ph.D. from abroad are generally preferred in this field.

2.Astrophysics Professor-Try to teach cosmology to your friend or someone younger than you, then you will be able to realize how much satisfaction it gives to you and the one listening to you, because it is a field of public interest. So,if you become a professor ,you might never get bored of your job.

ISRO or NASA scientist-Well if you are lucky you might be hired by ISRO or NASA for calculations.

Astronaut-well well well if you are extremely lucky you might be able to go to outer space and see the universe in a new way.Remember this is an extremely tough field and requires years of training. However ,as exciting as this job seems to be,the more it is tough and risky. You will have to deal with extreme UV radiation of the Sun,technical issues in your spacecraft, problems caused by spacesuits etc.,which is why this job is highly paid .

At last I would say that not many of us are lucky enough to pursue their field of interest. However ,if you are getting a chance, try to leave no stone unturned to succeed in your life.

Thank you.
