Derivation:

Second equation of motion (S = Vi t + 1/2at2)

Consider initial velocity of any mass = Vi, After certain interval of time t, its final velocity becomes Vf. we need to know the average velocity (Vav),

Therefore, Vav = (Vi + Vf)/2 we know Vf = Vi + at

= (Vi + Vi + at)/2

=(2 Vi + at)/2

= Vi + at/2

we know ,

S = Vav x t =(Vi + at/2) X t = Vit + 1/2at²

Answer:

the equation of motion gives the displacement of an object under constant acceleration; x=x+0+v0t +1 2 at 2.x=x.0+v_0 t+\frac{1}-{2}at^{2}.
