Hanging Gardens in Mumbai is built on top of Malabar Hill. As the garden is a terrace garden located on a hill slope, it is called Hanging Gardens. It affords a gorgeous view of the sunset over the Arabian Sea, and a panoramic view of Mumbai.

The garden was originally laid out in the 1880s over the then main reservoir of the city of Bombay.
