The sex ratio of the states of North India are Uttar Pradesh- 898, Haryana- 861, Himachal Pradesh- 970, Punjab-874 and Jammu and Kashmir- 900.
Explanation:
- North India is the most populated region of India. However there is an alarming sex ratio existing in these states.
- Sex ratio is the count of the ‘number of females’ per 1000 of the number of males. Kerala has the ‘highest sex ratio’ in India which is 1058.
- Haryana on the other hand has the lowest which is 861. India has a sex ratio of 933.
- This is because the Northern states have a tremendous amount of gender discrimination.
