The sex ratio is the ratio of males to females in a population. In most sexually reproducing species, the ratio tends to be 1:1. This tendency is explained by Fisher's principle.
The common notion that they are incapable and could not reach up to what men can do.So having a girl child is of not much use, in fact it would be better to abort or kill such a child. Some people say education is also a cause for this but more importantly if they keep off this attitude of theirs at a distance, it would be great.States like Kerala fare far better in these cases, education and neither does thoughts of considering the girl child less capable floats in their mind.
